Fine Watchmaking Exhibition in Paris
From 2nd May to 7th June, a travelling exhibition in Paris revisits the most amazing chapters in the history of fine watchmaking written by the watchmaker Piaget.
The ultra-thin is at the heart of Piaget’s watchmaking traditions and expertise. Since the 1950s with the legendary 9P movements and 12P movements Piaget has expanded its ranges of complicated calibres and major complications by pushing back the boundaries of the ultra- thin. This selection showcases a series of timelessly classic watches in which the Manufacture’s expert mastery of “shapes within shapes” has enabled the creation of its most sublimely sophisticated movements. This masterly exhibition of the Piaget watch collections shines a spotlight on the brand’s historic expertise.
Presented for the first time in Paris, 16 of Piaget’s finest watchmaking creations are brought together in Piaget’s Paris boutiques for an exceptional exhibition, with the starring role being played by the Emperador Coussin Self-Winding Minute Repeater, the latest world record complication from the 2013 Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie. The exhibition will get underway in the Piaget boutique at the Galeries Lafayette on 2nd May and continue on 15th May at the Piaget boutique in Printemps, before finally completing its journey on 1st June at the place Vendôme, where the boutique will reopen after four months of renovations.
