The 900D ultra-thin movement achieves a major feat: integration into the thinnest hand-wound high jewellery watch in the world, with a thickness of just 5.60 mm. This technical prowess perfectly complements the two master crafts of the Manufacture Piaget: High Jewellery and Fine Watchmaking. With components reduced to the extreme, this ultra-thin watch only allows for the tiniest of tolerances in order to preserve the volume of its lines and the volume of its case. This fusion of two worlds is further demonstrated by the gem-setting on the movement’s bridges and certain mechanical elements, as well as by the thinness of the material, which leaves little space for set stones. Off-centre hours and minutes are displayed at 10 o’clock, while the mainplate becomes the case back, with a suspended barrel, for a power reserve of 48 hours. The bridges reveal themselves on the dial side in white gold and are entirely snow-set with diamonds. Diamond-set screws complete the creation. All the finishes are perfectly carried out, as per Piaget’s signature: mainplate and bridges drawn out and bevelled by hand, and circular or sun-brushed polishing on the wheels. Lastly, the emblematic ‘P’ for Piaget is fastened to the regulating organ mechanism.
